“My career began when a Swedish television company hired me as a camera operator for live television. However, within a couple of years, I had moved on to become a freelance cinematographer instead. My work as a cinematographer took off in the music business, where I shot a substantial amount of music videos for popular Swedish artists such as Veronica Maggio, Robin Stjernberg, and international ones like Alan Walker.
A few years later, Universal Music Group, Sony Music, and Warner Music Group had become clients of mine. During this time, I also shot and produced several live multi-cam productions with artists such as The Chainsmokers, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, Linkin Park, Steve Aoki, the Swedish artist Laleh and many more.
While still keeping my interest in music-related productions, I also realized the creative value of working with more commercial projects through different agencies. So I shifted my focus and had the opportunity to shoot TVCs for a handful of international clients.
My commercial work later leads to my employment as a director of photography within the Nordic Entertainment Group. This renowned Scandinavian company owns several TV-channels, streaming platforms, production companies, and agencies. It is considered the largest producer and distributor of films and series in the Scandinavian region. During my two and a half years at Nordic Entertainment Group, I went from shooting commercials to directing them instead. However, even though I began defining myself as a director more than a DOP, my knowledge of cinematography continued to come to fair use when working with other DOPs.
At this point in my career, I had managed to build a very steady client base. As a result, I can now proudly put some of the world’s largest companies and brands in my portfolio of completed work.
After my time at Nordic Entertainment Group, I started my own company again. With a flying start, I began writing and directing a large number of TVCs. At the end of 2018, I began working with fiction, and from 2020 I am working on my first feature film parallel with my commercial work.”
